Schwartzy would be pleased to know that the tradition of intentionally misheard song lyrics continues, as this week I drove around listening to U2 (see the Personal Top 5 post). One of the tracks on there is “I Will Follow,” which I like a lot. However, because my mind wanders, I converted it to “I Will Swallow,” which gives it an interesting twist. Especially if you alter the other lyrics to promote beverage consumption.

Some of the other U2 songs include “Someday, Buddy, Someday” and “Greenest Thing.”

However, none of them compare to the Cranberries infamous song “Zombie” which is translated to “Salami.” Some of the lines go like this:

It’s on wheat bread,
On wheat breeeeaaad,

Sa-la-mi-e-e
