Holiday Time

My wife traditionally has a birthday every year, and on that day we get a Holiday Tree for our house and decorate it. As it just so happens, today was not that day. It was, however, exactly one day prior to The Day. Since it coincided with my day off, we celebrated today by getting a tree and decorating it with our retro-modern ornaments. It was a fun day, and got me more or less into the Holiday Spirit of Things.

Tomorrow I attend a luncheon for all co-managers in my zone, where we go to a restaurant and eat some Communist Food. By which, I mean that it is apparently served on a lazy Susan which turns to serve all persons seated at the table. Each person then reaches and grabs according to their ability and can easily redistribute said food according to need (or other varying factors). I, for one, am looking forward to such an outing, as the last time I attended a Communist Meeting of this sort was back in school.

One day before Pirates 2 came out I went to see it in the theater. We have a dollar theater here in the International City, so my aforementioned wife and I attended since it coincided with a date one day prior to a significant day. The movie was interesting, I guess. But I think I had only seen the original 1.2 times (the 0.2 accounting for bits and clips I stumbled across while in a sober haze) and it was a long time ago, so I was sketchy on who the characters were. Also being a married guy, I couldn't care that much about a girly figure in pirate garb. Not that I care that much for Johnny Depp anyway.

Till next time...
Karl

In the true spirit of the season M & F are celebrating with their own personal version of Kung Fu Hustle. Obtained in successful M fashion through a poor choice in a "gift" exchange.

For some reason, I figured you would care to celebrate with us. :-P

Matt, your posts always make me laugh. Hope you are both doing well, and tell Katie "Happy Birthday" for me.

So Faith, you knew that the Communist restaurant was about you? Impressive.
