Haven't You Noticed? We Saw the POTUS...

Happy Halloween, everyone. Today we were in for a treat of sorts as George W. Bush was in town campaigning for Mac Collins for Congress. This is one of the few races that can make a difference because he is running against a Democrat incumbent, and can offset losses elsewhere. Anyway, we took the opporunity to go see W, and it wsa a lot of fun. Reps. Charlie Norwood, Tom Price, and Phil Gingrey were also there with Sens. Chambliss and Isakson. We were five deep, so we had a really good spot to see the President, and I am glad that we went.

Probably the neatest thing about it though was looking up as they were setting the stage and I saw a guy named Lucas getting things set up. He was a comrade from the BC04 days, so it was great to see that he was still in the game and doing well for himself.

Autumn was really good during the whole thing even though she didn't get a nap.

It's weird just how popular George W. Bush is down here, as we have a very staunch military community. I'm sure that if he wanted to he could retire down here and run for County Council.
