No more pocketwatches, no rabbit ears, no more had delivered telegrams announcing life and death news...what is next?!?
The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported earlier this week, that the pink, plastic, flamingo-shaped slice of Americana as we know it is ceasing to exist. Those items so synonymous with church fundraisers, with Florida yards, (and at THE with senior pranks) are disappearing from store shelves. As one tipster said, "They're ugly and they're cheesy, but all the sudden, when I heard they were stopped being produced, I wanted one." After being tipped off to this article, I too suddenly wanted to rush out and purchase my own slice of Americana.
