struggled this week with the internet being completely off or very very slow all week. I finally called up Cox to troubleshoot the problem. After going through a lot of different configurations, multiple reboots, and resetting the modem, it turns out that the problem was that I had a coupler on my cable line going into my modem.
So, now we're back online, amazing what one small piece of metal will do to ruin your day.
